Go to https://charleston.campusdish.com/LocationsAndMenus for menus.

Do staff get discounts for CofC campus meals?

Yes! There are four ways to save.

The $155 Faculty and Staff Meal Plan includes 25 meals from Liberty Street Fresh Food CompanyCity Bistro or Marty’s Place, and can even be used for select sandwich/salad combos at Market 159, breaking down to just $6.20 a meal! Payment plans of four $38.75 installments over a two-month period are available, or employees can pay in full at Cougar Card Services. Meal plans can start at any time, and meal swipes will not expire during your employment (aka they carry over year to year). You can sign up for a meal plan online or anytime throughout the semester by visiting the Cougar Card Office in Berry Hall. When you run out of your 25 meals, you can add another 25 block of meals at any time. Staff can get a To-Go box for free with the plan as well.

The $6 Faculty/Staff "Soup, Salad, Drink, & Dessert" discounted meal (no plan required) is offered in Liberty Street Fresh Food Co. To-Go boxes for this meal are available without the meal plan as well.

The $5 Faculty/Staff Breakfast & Starbucks Drink discounted meal (no plan required) is also available at the Fresh Food Company! Whether you’re hitting up the cereal bar or craving something hot from the daily breakfast menu, you can get it Monday–Friday from 7 to 11 a.m. Just show your CofC ID and pay your $5 (the cost is $8 without it) at the door (Dining Dollars, cash and credit are accepted).

Also, Liberty Street Fresh Food Company is open to everyone (prices vary for non-CofC guests) and features all-you-care-to-eat access for breakfast, lunch or dinner at 10 different stations, including a complete salad bar, a smoothie bar, a Chobani bar, a brick pizza oven, a sandwich station, a Mongolian station, a Lowcountry homestyle station, a vegetarian station and a bakery. Without a meal plan, faculty and staff can get it all for $10 (lunch) or $10.50 (dinner) with their CofC ID.

When you’re using a meal plan at the Fresh Food Company or City Bistro, you may get a reusable to-go box from the cashier and fill it up to take with you – whether you’re headed back to your office or to the Cistern Yard for a little picnic. Better yet: You don’t have to clean it when you’re done! Just bring it back to the Fresh Food Company (where it will be cleaned and sanitized) and exchange it for another one. Or – if you’re in the mood to dine in the faculty and staff dining area – just exchange it for a key tag, which you can turn in for another box the next time you’re on the go!

Do any off-campus restaurants give CofC employees meal discounts?

Yes. CofC discounts are available at many area restaurants, but offers vary by location. For example, Swamp Fox and Tazikis downtown have offered discounts. Offers are entirely at the discretion of the restaurants and may change over time. Please feel free to ask your server and/or ask often to encourage area business to offer them to us.
